‘India Has Reason To Feel It Has Received Backing From Saudi Arabia On Terrorism And Kashmir’

New Delhi 25 February 2019

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent state visit to India has enough reason to make New Delhi feel satisfied. In a conversation with Ashwin Ahmad, SNI Editor Surya Gangadharan and Deputy Editor Parul Chandra explain that while Saudi Arabia-Pakistan ties will remain there has been an evolution in Riyadh’s position on terrorism and Jammu and Kashmir, as was seen in the joint statement issued by the two countries in New Delhi. Apart from Riyadh’s eagerness to co-operate on terrorism, the Kingdom’s increased interest in investing more in India and seeing the country as a major strategic and defence partner suggests a major breakthrough for India-Saudi Arabia relations.
