‘Boris is not likely to last long as PM, I expect general elections before Oct 31’

As Boris Johnson emerges victorious in the Conservative party leadership race to become the next Prime Minister of Britain, a number of questions arise as to whether he can steer the UK through the current Iran crisis and then the Brexit imbroglio. SNI Opinion Editor Ashwin Ahmad speaks to London-based columnist Rashmee Roshan Lall who believes that Boris the ‘political entertainer’ is not likely to have a long prime ministerial tenure and general elections are likely to be held in the UK before October 31, the day Britain is scheduled to leave Europe.
