Home As We Heard Surplus During Trade War

Surplus During Trade War

There’s something odd about reports in the Western media that China’s economy is in the doldrums, manufacturing is down etc etc. The trade figures don’t suggest so.  Data released last month show China’s trade surplus has widened to nearly $35 billion compared to a little over $26 billion in the same period last year. The figure is lower than the market expectation of $43 billion surplus but suggests that China has weathered the trade war pretty well, so far.
