‘No Peace With Palestine On The Horizon But Israel’s Strategic Interests Are Secure’


Israel marks its 71st anniversary of independence on a mixed note: The re-election of Benjamin Netanyahu holds out the promise of continued economic stability. But politics has moved further to the right with its obvious implications on peace with the Palestinians.  On the other hand, Israel has never had a better equations with the U.S. and the Saudis, which adds heft to its campaign to isolate arch enemy Iran.  In this interview, Prof. David Newman of Ben Gurion University in Israel talks about current developments, including relations with India and the China factor.
