India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission to the Moon should have taken off in January 2019 but never did, not for any fault of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). The mission involved a lunar lander and rover with the Russians providing the latter. But sometime in 2014 they backed out. The reasons were apparently internal and had nothing to do with India, nevertheless ISRO was hit and forced to develop the rover on its own. That’s where the delay happened. April is the next launch date and hopefully it will go off smoothly.
