Home As We Heard Gwadar not so strategic?

Gwadar not so strategic?

There is a view among some analysts of China’s maritime strategy in the Indian Ocean, that Gwadar port in Pakistan is a “tier two port”, meaning that it may not figure as a major frontline strategic asset at least for now. This flows apparently from the argument that Balochistan, where Gwadar is situated, is Pakistan’s poorest province, it is the least integrated with the rest of the country, is conflict prone and unstable. Therefore the Chinese maybe making haste slowly in developing Gwadar.
