Blessings Postponed

A golden statue of Garuda which is the national emblem of Thailand, and used as a symbol of royalty in the south Asian nation, greets visitors as they enter the embassy’s new premises. The embassy of Thailand has recently moved to its new building that has come up within a complex that till now housed the residence of the Thai ambassador and the chancery. The chief brahmin in Thailand’s royal court was to have come to New Delhi and blessed the statue in a ceremony on the coming Sunday. However, owing to commitments in the royal court, it’s learnt that the chief brahmin had to postpone this visit.
