On September 18, Australia will kick off a six-month-long festival showcasing Australian culture and creativity in India with the release of a book titled ‘Jadoowallahs Jugglers and Jinns—The Magical History of India’. The book has been authored by John Zubrzycki who has worn many hats, among them as a journalist and author. In the book, Zubrzycki, who’s had a long-standing tryst with India, documents the cultural, social and political history of Indian street and stage magic. Later this month, an evening of premium Australian food and wine is in store for invitees to a ‘Taste of Australia’ gala dinner that Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu is set to host at her residence on September 29. Invitees to this dinner will be able to partake of food from a menu that will be curated by MasterChef Australia judge Gary Mehigan. Adding a musical flavour to the evening will be a live string quartet performance by members of the Australian World Orchestra.
